Dawesville Cut
Case Study
WA Limestone worked as the seawall and excavation specialists on the Dawesville Cut.
Dawesville Cut Development
The project included drill, blast, transport and installation of 500,000 tonnes of limestone core and armour. Much of the rock was produced on site as the company had to excavate the 6 metre deep cut.
The success of this prominent project helped boost WA Limestone’s profile among many of the large national contractors, including Thiess’ parent company Leighton Holdings. WA Limestone would later go on to work with Leighton as part of the Perth – Bunbury Highway project.
