Exmouth Marina
Case Study
In 1995, WA Limestone supplied and installed 400,000 tonnes of limestone core and armour rock for the construction of Exmouth Marina, a project managed by the Department of Transport.
Exmouth Marina
The limestone was used to build breakwaters, providing essential protection against coastal erosion and rough sea conditions. This ensured the marina could support both recreational and commercial vessels, catering to the growing needs of Exmouth’s boating community. The project highlighted the importance of robust materials in creating long-term maritime infrastructure capable of withstanding environmental pressures while maintaining functionality for local and visiting users.
