MRIA Road Modification Project

As part of the MRIA (Main Roads, CPB Contractors, Georgiou Group, WA Limestone, GHD, AECOM, and BG&E.), WA Limestone managed the upgrading of Armadale Road, with notable reference to pavement supply, installation, and drainage construction, completing work between mid-2017 and mid-2020.

The project included constructing noise barriers, relocating services, and implementing traffic management plans while working in close proximity to live traffic and sensitive environmental areas. Challenges such as acid sulphate soils, underground services, and Aboriginal heritage sites required meticulous planning and compliance with environmental and cultural guidelines. WA Limestone implemented innovative construction methods, integrating service relocations and drainage installations into the road construction process to optimise efficiency. Their work also included managing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards.

Through precise execution and coordination, WA Limestone contributed significantly to the successful delivery of this major infrastructure project, enhancing road connectivity while minimising impacts on the surrounding environment
